The love of Scribbles, an adoption story

Updated: Nov 24

In the summer of 2007, we adopted a sweet little kitty from Narf. He weighed all of 2.5lbs, was the runt of the litter and was missing whiskers after the bigger cats had gotten to him. However, the moment we picked him up in our arms, he nuzzled right in and we knew instantly that we would love him forever. We named that sweet little guy Scribbles.

Scribbles has been a part of our family for the last 16.5 years and we have absolutely loved every minute of it!  He has snuggled with us endlessly and became closely bonded with a kitty that we adopted 8 years ago – he even let the younger kitty try and nurse on his tummy when he was feeling anxious.  He slept in our arms every night since we brought him home.  He was absolutely the best possible Scribbles that we could have ever asked for!

Sadly, yesterday morning he crossed over the rainbow bridge and passed away.  Although our hearts are broken at the loss of Scribbles, we can’t help but know there is a brand new angel watching down on our family.  We are forever grateful for the amazing years we had with him and thankful that we were able to hold him so close and snuggle to the very end.  Thank you so much for bringing him into our lives!

Love,

Heather and Joe C
